Rakesh Jain, MD, MPH, is a clinical professor of psychiatry at Texas Tech University School of Medicine - PB and a board-certified psychiatrist. He has been interested in psychedelic sciences over the last decade and has served in the role of a medical monitor for a FDA-regulated psychedelic medicine trial, and serves as an advisor on the design of upcoming trials of psychedelic medications in various psychiatric disorders.
Katia Zalkind is a PhD student in cognitive neuroscience at Northwestern University, and a medical writer who focuses on psychiatry. She has been interested in psychedelics since she encountered an amanita muscaria in a forest in Russia at age 4. Her research concerns how psychosis risk may be related to language processing and brain lateralization.
